For Ednita, botanical hair color began as a personal necessity and evolved into a professional mission. A licensed cosmetologist with over 13 years of experience, Ednita’s journey into the world of botanical hair color was sparked after she developed an allergy to conventional chemical dyes while in cosmetology school.
Refusing to compromise on her health and craft, she immersed herself in years of hands-on experimentation with traditional plant-based ingredients like henna, indigo, and cassia. What started as a personal search for alternatives became the foundation for her career.
Through her experience behind the chair at Henna by Ednita, she noticed a massive gap in the beauty industry: a distinct lack of practical, professional education and premium, salon-grade botanical ingredients.
To bridge this gap, Ednita founded BotaniHue. Today, she empowers hairstylists and salon professionals to confidently master the art and science of plant-based formulations through comprehensive education, hands-on training, and premium products.
