Step 1: Removes hard water build-up that can alter the color results of herbal dyes and prevent color adhesion. 

Step 2: Prep grays. Mix 1/2 packet for roots or full packet for full length (shoulder length) of  Pre-Color Base and apply on gray hair. Leave for 30-45 minutes and rinse. Grays should look coppery orange, this is normal and part of the process.
 
Step 3: Color. Mix and apply. Leave for 2-3 hours for best results.
